Advantage of being partnered with Private Clubs
McConnell Golf Executive Chef, John McCallister explained the McConnell strategy and ClubSoft strategy well in his recent article in Club & Resort Business:
“All of our clubs have very distinct personalities, and as each one is acquired, it adds a new facet to the organization. In some cases we discover a better way of doing things that had not been evident, and we incorporate it system-wide. Other times, we see failed mechanics in the new property that confirm our current approaches. So our food-and-beverage departments are very much in continual development; we do not have cookie-cutter operations, and are always open to new directions.”
ClubSoft being partnered with McConnell Golf, gives it a distinct advantage in the private club software market. Just as John has mentioned above, ClubSoft is continuously learning from the McConnell family of clubs and then takes that knowledge and implements it back into its software. By being able to test new ideas in McConnell Clubs as well as learn from those clubs what works and what can be improved on in the different areas of club operations, ClubSoft has an insight that no one else in the market has. It is important if you are thinking of making a software purchase in the near future to examine how the vendors you are considering test and make their software development decisions.

ClubSoft to Open a Boston Office
Raleigh, NC (October 31, 2012)- ClubSoft North America, a private club management software provider, announced today that it will open a new office in Boston, MA. Located in Boston’s trendy South End, the new workplace will serve as a necessary expansion for the 50 percent growth in employees in our Northern Branch.
The most recent addition to the Boston location is Carrie Seddon, whom was recently tapped as Clubsoft’s Director of Client Services. The focus of operations in this location will be the ClubSoftlinks product line, a software solution that features online reservation systems and a dynamic private social network. Seddon will team up with the Links reservation and implementation group already located in the Boston area.
“The whole team is excited to move to the new location in Boston’s South End. This office is in a newer, more spacious building that will offer us more room for productivity and a pleasing view of our great city”, said Yasmine Kfoury, ClubSoftlinks Implementation Manager. “We have been working in a collaborative space on the ground floor of a studio style building that houses numerous art galleries. This new facility gives us a more professional environment with space for us to meet with clients.”
Ray McDonald, CEO of ClubSoft went on to say “The ClubSoftlinks product has really developed quite a following in the Private Club Market and we see that team continuing to expand. This move allows us to accommodate that expansion. We have been pleasantly surprised at how many Clubs have moved away from the static website concept to our offering of a private social network. We only expect that trend to continue thus having a central location for the team serving this client base is essential.”
